I wish he was still eligible for punt and kickoff returns. He was a threat every time he returned a kick.

He was a high energy guy who was a leader on that first title team. Glad he's getting his shot at coaching now. Several guys from that championship group are getting their roots planted in the coaching profession.

Roy Upchurch was an asst S&C coach at South Carolina the last I heard too. Not with the good guys

but he's well on his way.

I hear Ruggs is doing well in that capacity at practice. Hope he gets to be as good as Javier.

I see what Saban is doing. He is beating the schlolarship and roster restrictions by bringing talent in, via coaching positions, and then switching the "coach" (Arenas) with a little use players. I see you Saban, you sly guy.

In all seriousness, it is always cool to see former players return "home".

At one time I remember Coach Saban refer to Arenas as " a chainsaw wrapped in barbed wire" when returning a kick. IIRC.
