This Tuesday we go to the polls for the primary election to choose Jeff Sessions' replacement.

Right now, it appears Roy Moore will make the runoff against either Luther Strange or Mo Brooks. I'd sooner become a barn fan than vote for Moore. But neither of the other two inspire me.

Any reason to pick one over the other? I know whoever wins will just toe the party line, I just don't want Moore to get it.

Strange: Crook
Moore: Egomaniacal Crook
Brooks: Fool

It's like watching the GOP presidential primaries all over again.

I have gotten umpteen phone calls from the Strange bunch. They leave long messages about how Big Luther supports Trump.

Nothing from Moore or Brooks.

I will hold my nose and vote for Brooks. The only one JT didn't label a crook. Probably vote Democrat in the general election.

I know there are the main three on the GOP side, but there are other options. Tripp Pittman doesn't seem like a bad option.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Luther has the backing of the RNC and the most funding, I imagine. Which might work against him, as the other two are framing themselves as anti-establishment candidates.

Strange ran some ads showing Brooks criticizing Trump during the presidential primaries. I get that was just Brooks stumping for Cruz (or whoever he was for), but it made me like him a bit more.

Isn't there a 4th GOP candidate?

State Senator Trip Pittman, but he isn't hitting double digits in the polls.

On the Democratic side, Doug Jones may not even get into a runoff against Robert Kennedy, Junior. (Not that one).

Marble-mouth Mitch McTurdle (aka Dudley DooNothing) is dumping >$8M into the race, backing his toadie and swamp critter, Lyin' Luther.

Who says he was a Drumpf supporter.

After he won the election.

Look at who appointed him. Tells you all that you need to know.

Probably the only question is who will be in the run-off, against Moore: Lyin' Luther or Brooks.

We'll see about Jones. He's getting support from all the big democrat names.

Tripp isn't in double digits, but all the polls seem questionable.

This ad keeps showing up on the TideFans front page.:eek2:\

I've seen that ad when reading a number of articles linked to liberal pages. Must have made a bunch of snowflakes melt.

Need Selma to double-check my mortal memory here ....... Didn't Edwards spend more time in court than he did in the governor's mansion? He had - among other things - gambling issues, correct? I think this was around the time casinos were built in New Orleans. Rumor had it that a certain person's gambling debts magically went away.

I'm voting for Moore. It's not that I like him but Alabama has had to deal with the guy for so long let Washington deal with him for a while plus I'd do it just to irritate the Washington crowd. :biggrin2:
