I don't t hink DBF is making light of or minimizing white hate groups protesting. But pointing out (by putting it in question form) that the likelihood of this country "going back" to anything resembling what these idiots desire is slim to none. No matter how hard they try. Our society has progressed to the point that it's not going to happen. No matter how much those on the extreme fringes of white America desire it. Just not going to happen.

However, the problem of black on black crime (along with unborn black babies being the most aborted children of the races) is a greater and more likely threat to the black race than what these white hate groups are wanting. But the uproar, outrage and efforts to mitigate their greatest threat pales in comparison to t he outrage toward things that have a lessor probability of actually happening. While day after day blacks are killing each other at an alarming rate. They now represent only 12% of the population. They used to be the largest minority in this country. Not anymore, not even close.

Both are serious issues. Make no mistake about it. One issue is sickening (white hate groups protesting) and the other isn't as sickening, but still a bad situation. But which is more likely to have the greater negative effect on the black race in today's society? Statistically it's the "bad situation". Not the "sickening" one.

i agree. its two different comparisons. however, both issues (charlottesville and black on black crime referenced to by the OP) are troublesome. on the one hand (in virginia) you have individuals who hold fast to a troubling worldview which advocates outright hate of nonwhite ethnicities. on the other hand (chicago murders, black on black crime) you have individuals who have little respect for another individual's life, ethnicity be damned. imo, the VAST majority of us.....incl me, bamaro, intl aperture, DBF, tide hsv, 92 tide, seebell and all the sev thousand posters here on tide fans and hundreds of millions of Americans are trying to go on about our daily lives without any malice towards one another. not one of us wants to see the other person hurt, belittled, made to feel unsafe, ridiculed, certainly not killed. we point fingers at each other.....saying 'your politician says this' or 'your politician does this' when in reality all that happens is we end up doing what we dont want to do.....hurt the other person. condemnation of the charlottesville white supremacists AND individuals who belong to antiFA and individuals that commit black on black crime are all warranted. but its becoming too commonplace to point fingers and lay blame....in the process, we end up becoming divisive. a lack of unity towards condemning wrongdoing (from any and all individuals and groups) and selective anger (only towards groups and individuals who we personally dont agree with politically or otherwise) should be what we need to address. wrong is wrong....no matter what individual or what group(s) commit that wrong.

I agree.

The tactic here is to get Trump to publicly condemn what some feel is the significant majority of his base and therefore hurt him in 2020, hence the focus on one hate group above all other hate groups.

FWIW, street crime IS a horrific problem in places like Chi, Balto and other cities. It occurs every day. Quite often it is criminals attacking other criminals but all to often innocents fall victim too. It is not as newsworthy though because one happens everyday (and is actually a bigger problem) and the other happens only occasionally (although it's unfortunately becoming more common). That's not a negative commentary on the news, its just what makes news, news and it doesn't make one (in this case Charlottesville) less horrific.

But let's keep our eye on the prize people. Blacks killing blacks isn't sensationalist journalism. Politicians don't want to answer to this issue.
A police source said a man with a valid Firearm Owner's Identification card shot the three people after they broke into his home. Area South detectives were investigating the shooting as a suspected burglary, the source said.
Those three had it coming. Are you sure this was black on black? Article didn't give race.

Both can be true. White Nationalists can be a disgusting blemish on our society and black on black crime can be an issue that deserves national attention. We don't have to choose just one to be concerned about.
Obviously it is meant to be seen that way. The agenda of divide dictates it.
