Fair, but I might actually lean us toward stock down. We won, but we hardly looked impressive in doing so.
I'm extremely happy with the defensive front 7. They did everything asked of them and more. Bottling up GSU's rushing attack is no small feat. Even when they're bad, they routinely run the ball effectively away from home against P5 competition, typically for 250+, and never less than 150 going back to 2010. The secondary wasn't tested at all, so no opinion there yet.
Offensively, simply put, we stunk early. Looked better late but at no point in the game looked like we would give Clemson's talented defense trouble. The solace I take from it was that we have two key players coming back, and a week of game film and practice to get it right.
As it stands, I see the Clemson game going a lot like last year's, with our D keeping us in it deep into the second half but our offense struggling to do anything effectively (though I do expect a better game plan than last year, which is a pretty meager feat). It's very possible they smoke us if our O can't keep our D off the field.
