Not in the SEC, but Georgia Tech's is pretty badIs there any other SEC program whose FG kicker is worse than ours?
Just checked the previous four seasons... It's as bad as fans feel.Is there any other SEC program whose FG kicker is worse than ours?
Foster and Griffith were both on scholarship as well. Heck, just give me Jeremy Shelley. From inside 35 he was $. My all time favorite was Phillip Doyle. Loved watching him come down on kicks and be in on the play and was a pretty good field goal man himself.Just checked the previous four seasons... It's as bad as fans feel.
2013: Cade Foster - 71% (11th out of 12 qualifying SEC kickers)
2014: Adam Griffith - 63% (13th out of 13 qualifying SEC kickers)
2015: Adam Griffith -72% (8th out of 13 qualifying SEC kickers)
2016: Adam Griffith - 75% (8th out of 13 qualifying SEC kickers)
Through one week, Andy Pappanastos is 60%, which puts him 9th out of 13 qualifying kickers.

Van Tiffin was a 67% career FG kicker at Alabama with a tee. Peter Kim was 69.8 percent. Doyle was 74.3%, and Michael proctor was 71.4%. Leigh Tiffin was 74.8%Just checked the previous four seasons... It's as bad as fans feel.

Foster was supposed to be our long range specialist. that didn't work out so well. Shelley had his moments but was inconsistent to say the least. his best game was obviously the 2011 Championship vs LSU.Foster and Griffith were both on scholarship as well. We can't do that. If we didn't make it we would all complain about the offensive play calling. It would cause way too much stress. At this point I wish we would remove the FG from the play book. Probably a better chance at converting 4th downs then making a FG.
All that is true, but compared to their peers in today's game, our FG kickers are lagging behind every year. Alabama shouldn't accept being in the bottom 1/3 of the league in anything. Hurts even worse when you see what Daniel Carlson is doing at Auburn and know that he wanted to be in crimson and we passed.Van Tiffin was a 67% career FG kicker at Alabama with a tee.
