A local 41 year old woman throws acid at the American girls. It sounds like a nut case.

Agreed. That could have happened in Atlanta. Or Reform (although I'd bet there aren't as many tourists in Reform).
Acid attacks have bloomed in Europe over the last couple of years. Probably only a matter of time before the scumbags on this side of the pond to catch on.
I hope the young women did not suffer any serious injuries or disfigurement.

I think one of the reports mention something like "possible eye damage." That certainly makes sense...
