USC was Unanimous #1 National Champions in the AP and Coaches poll with a 10-1 record that year.

With this close of a brush with disaster, I don’t see how Butch survives without a win over Georgia. It absolutely now becomes a must-win game.
That's what I was hearing up here on the radio today, and I agree. They were also saying that Georgia will be their first real test of the year.
