The Sagarin is a wonderful tool, but by no means fallible. The biggest problem with the playoff system is that instead of taking the good parts about the BCS and implementing improvements, they went the exact opposite direction by putting together a small group of totally biased individuals and said have at it. Granted we can all pretty much agree who the top three are gonna be by years end, its 4 thru 10 that can get tricky. I am biased in that I would feel that a 2 loss SEC team is going to murder a one loss Pac12 or Big12 team and would choose accordingly. The AP is no different in that the Beat Writer from the Sac Bee is going to pump up those Pac12 Schools or risk being irrelevant.
