This is the wrong time and wrong event in history to politicize. This was real human lives lost and alot of family members of various political affiliations are suffering right now.

They are NOW saying that dude got in a firefight with SWAT through the room door before shooting himself. SO I don't really think he ran out of ammo.

I'm sure they would have tried if I had posted on Reddit. What I experienced is nothing compared to the people at the concert. When we were evacuated outside, police escorted us back into the basement after about 40 minutes. One guy there with us was at the concert. He was talking through what happened and those people are going to have issues for a while. I hope they get good therapist to help them work through it.

Sorry guys going to have to check out on the thread. Packing up to head home on the redeye. Honesty after seeing the aftermath firsthand last night/this morning, it is a little too much at the moment to see this venture into politics or arguing about what kind of gun the guy was shooting.

My coworker's mother owns a restaurant in town. One of their waitresses and 2 friends were at the event. None were injured.

Edit: Confirmed. Shooter was Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old local man who apparently had a criminal past and was known to Nevada law enforcement.

It was said earlier today that he had no criminal record. Did they change that later? I’ve been in a class tonight.

If you listen to the brother they weren’t that close. He said they would text & he would call his mother & check on her. Said he was not that interested in guns. So I don’t think he really knew him at all.

I really thought I had. Hard for me to believe, but the theft was discovered a little over four years ago now, although it didn't garner much publicity until several months ago. I think he was sentenced in February. Got two years plus two years probation. Managed to steal $7K from the company where he was a temp for a month awaiting sentencing. Quite talented. Tomorrow afternoon, I'll try to put up a trial thread and see if anyone remembers me posting about it before...
