Just seemed/looked like the team/coordinator was playing not to lose, instead of playing all out to win...!?! Got the same feeling in the FSU game.
Granted some of this may have been due to injuries, which in turn made things look very vanilla on both sides of the ball...
This has been typical of Saban teams at LSU and at Alabama when playing a team with a very good defensive front 7. It makes those games a lot closer, but if Alabama has the better team (and it usually does), it generally produces a W.

You can't really argue with the results over the past 10 years.

Basically what I was trying to say...felt like we were tight.

Both of you are correct, but it does sometimes seem like it's too "safe" and it seems like it makes the players play too tight.

We do win most of those games, but then sometimes you get a 9-6 game against LSU.
