Tearing down the goal posts after you beat the worst FSU team in 40 years. “Act like you’ve been there before”. That’s right - they haven’t.

I know losing their quarterback was bad for FSU, but this is MUCH more than that. Some type of team turmoil is going on.
Jimbo seems to have surely lost this team. The death threat stuff seems to be turning fans against him for some reason.

Bama is pretty much bulletproof at this boint.
The issue is that this game was the one that was supposed to really power Alabama's playoff resume. At this point I have some serious doubts about the committee ranking Alabama first (they tend to favor quality wins over SoS). Even with the way they are playing, one could easily argue that with their starting QB, FSU is probably a 2 loss team. But, as things stand Alabama's best win is Texas A&M...

This might not seem like much now, but what it means is that a one loss Alabama team could (despite looking like the best team) find themselves out of the playoff entirely. Florida St. was basically the game that was going to insure that Alabama could take a loss and still have a fantastic resume. A&M blowing the game to UCLA, LSU losing to Troy, and FSU having a meltdown all are going to put a real dent in the typically extremely high Alabama SoS. This is one of those unfortunate situations where Alabama would still be a darling of the BCS system, but might not get the same respect from the committee.

Sooner or later playing the FCS teams will knock us out of the playoffs when combined with a less than stellar Southeastern Conference. It will probably take that to bring change. Does anyone remember Aubie being knocked out of the BCS CG because of Furman or some such cupcake?

Depends on who you might lose to, and how. Alabama is getting so much respect for its body of work over the last 10 years that you are going to get the benefit of the doubt in most situations. But, seriously, Alabama is favored to win every game for a reason. Just keep winning and let the teams with losses worry about this stuff.

Year in and year out we play one of the toughest schedules in the country, period. It's not like all of these other teams are playing the Patriots or the 70s Steelers or the 90s Cowboys. The only negative things about college football are the things they keep adding to make the game like the NFL. We do not need to cut out scheduling a few games against cupcakes, in my opinion. The great upsets that happen from time to time are just another great part of college football.

Citadel. What happened was bowling green dropped Auburn and added Oklahoma.

But the real reason auburn got left out was the human pollsters who didn’t want to see USC vs Auburn 3 years in a row.

Nope - Look no further than the first playoff pool. OSU played in a very weak B1G and lost to its toughest OOC opponent at home (a 7-6 VT team). We still were selected and went on to win the whole thing. We played one ranked team that entire season before the B1GCG - MSU.

Now, if we had lost to Wisconsin in the B1GCG, we would have had 2 losses and been out, but my point is simple. Teams playing like Alabama and OSU over the last 10 years get the benefit of the doubt, even when we play weak schedules.
