It's hilarious - several of my ut buddies are so excited about the prospect and I keep telling them I hope it's true!

They would get an immediate shot in the recruiting arm. Everything else would depend on who he hires as coordinators. Maybe he brings Trent Dilfer along as QB coach.

That whole family is set for generations. Not sure why he would do this.

Maybe add one more generation to the list?

Someone asked why they would go after JG. Well, 10rc is desperate. Simple as that as to why they are going to throw the bank at him. Haslam family can cover the tab on it, no problem. Personally I hope they get together.

We can hope...I have to think this might be more about near term revenue and stadium reno, otherwise highly questionable hire...which Im all for in their case.

Could be fun to see some chucky v muschamp angry faces the next few years.

I like Dilfer, but would imagine chucky would coach his own offense and quarterbacks...if not, that would seem counterproductive to his job recruiting

Maybe he will bring along Beth Mowens as a specialist?
    Architects do it with models.

I’ve been a bit depressed lately knowing that UT was going to fire Botch. But then you tell me this? Makes me excited again for the future of Tennessee football.

CA, this is just too good to be true.

You sure they're seriously considering him?
I know what it takes to win. If I can sell them on what it takes to win, then we are not going to lose too many football games. - Coach Paul Bryant and I can see Coach Nick Saban agreeing completely.

No, can't be certain - but one of the guys I speak with regularly stays pretty plugged in, and has said that this has been in the works for over a month now. We'll see, could be nothing, but I've heard multiple rumors about this in particular.

I see it as a win-win - if they don't hire him, the ut fans will be crushed; if they do hire him, Bama will continue to crush them...
