From my seat in BDS Hurts could have avoided a couple of the sacks by simply throwing the ball away, but didn't - no idea why. The OL didn't have a terrific night but it's hard for 5 and 6 to block 7 and 8. We'd have benefited from a little less conservative play calling - but at no point did LSU have a chance to win the game so why help them with riskier plays. It was, in long stretches, boring football - but it was winning football. We're into the portion of the season where the mantra is just "win and advance."
