JK Scott didn’t win the award. :( He should have won it before...during his best year. Didn’t they end up giving it to the Utah punter..almost like a career award for him back then?

WOW!!! Unbelievable that Minkah won BOTH the Thorpe AND the Bednarik Awards!! He 100% deserves the accolades!!!

I'm shocked because I didn't think he would be recognized due to his stats not being on par with last year.

I'm glad they realize and recognize the degree to which he is the MVP of our Defense. The guy can literally play every secondary position at an All-American level and just goes where he's needed!!

He is only the 3rd player to EVER win both awards in the same year joining Charles Woodson (Michigan) and Patrick Peterson (LSU).

Big-time Congrats to Minkah!!!!

Anybody plan to watch the Heisman show? This has to be the least interested I have ever been.
I usually just watch the last 5 minutes to see the actual announcement anyway.
The award has just lost any significance and prestige as it once did.
Winston, Manziel, and now Mayfield.
I won't even have to plan for the 5 minutes tonight.

I plan on watching some of the snow melt instead.
