Given the way we have played for the second half of the season, and given all the injuries on defense and the unsettling situation at quarterback, we may be the most enigmatic good team in all of college football. But we clearly belong in the Final Four. And with a month before the next kickoff, I suspect we’ll play Clemson with an edge that borders on savagery.

For all hand wringing over Bama’s lack of dominance in the second half of the season, let me point out that those were against our strongest competition. Expectations are a bit unfair. It’s like if Bama doesn’t dominate them Bama isn’t any good. Auburn at home played lights out this year. Same with MSU. I think the SEC will do well this year in bowls. Of course MSU is going to struggle without their qb.
