Seems like a solid hire. He knows Texas well and can recruit there which Arkansas must have to be successful. I could see this being potentially an upgrade in Fayetteville.
Yes -- but will the spread work week in and week out in the SEC? Marcus Spears questioned that this morning...said that if you don't have a power running game you will not win long term.
And the defense …
The SMU offense was great.
The Mustang defense was a disaster, allowing 487 yards per game with a secondary that got ripped to shreds and a run defense that gave up 213 yards per game.
For me this pretty much says it all.
