I looked it up and it appears it means "Thanks for playing" but that really does not apply to the post. What is "TFP"?
Thanks for posting.What is "TFP"?
That loss to Vandy stings but unlike years past the OOC made up for in addition to the conference being stronger. Thankfully we still have a solid RPI. The AU win off sets the loss to Vandy. The SEC is so much better this year.

This just seems like too many. There are a lot of SEC teams with very good pre-conference records. I suspect that a few will get knocked out when it comes down to their out-of-conference schedules like what happened to Bama a few years ago but I haven't peeked at all the schedules so who knows?Lunardi's bracketology after Saturday's games.
#4- Auburn
#5- Tennessee
#5- Florida
#5- Kentucky
#9- Texas A&M
#9- Arkansas
#10- Alabama
#10- Missouri
With Carolina on the bubble. Man I would love it if this conference could somehow get 9 in.
Sec Tournament may determine that. I see at least 4 or 5 teams getting in.This just seems like too many. There are a lot of SEC teams with very good pre-conference records. I hope a bunch get in but they also need to have a good showing or the number will be hacked again next season.
RPIs are too strong -- no reason for them to go down. This is the year the SEC gets at least 6, likely 7 - and maybe 8....but we do need the bottom feeders to do their job and not win too much..... I check this one daily after all the action has wrapped up to see where we stand. My go to for the up to the minute RPI.Through yesterday's games we now have an RPI ranking of 26.
It's strange how different sites have teams' RPIs different. That site has Alabama's RPI at 26. ESPN has it at 24. Realtime RPI has it at 26.I check this one daily after all the action has wrapped up to see where we stand. My go to for the up to the minute RPI.

Warren Nolan uses the same formula as the NCAA/selection committee. The RPI calculation is not exactly a formula that leaves much room for variability. Maybe ESPN doesn't update theirs as frequently? It's strange how different sites have teams' RPIs different. That site has Alabama's RPI at 26. ESPN has it at 24. Realtime RPI has it at 26.
I would think the RPI formula would be the same on every site since it is used by the NCAA. ESPN might not update theirs everyday like some. Just looked. It says they update it daily, but maybe that just means once every 24 hours. 19 wins, 5 more, and you're in. I see 6 more wins on your schedule, which will give you 20.When worrying about Alabama's tournament chances when we lose a couple more SEC games, remember the conference is so much better than previous years. We failed to make the tournament with Grant in years we had 10-6 or 12-4 conference records because the conference was weak. Not this year.
Also, here's the Warren Nolan page for Alabama with up-to-date RPIs for each team and Alabama's record against each RPI group.
