He did at first, but when Urban came it pretty much meant the end was near.Didn't Hoke recruit pretty well at Michigan?
He went from #4 in 2013 to #20 and #37 in 2014 and 2015

Yah, his first and last years were kinda 'meh' (though they still included one 5* and 12 4* recruits), but his middle two years were great. Both classes were top 10 classes and yielded three 5* players and 26 4* players. Harbaugh inherited a team that had a good bit of talent.Didn't Hoke recruit pretty well at Michigan?

Only 2 that made it higher than the 2nd round in the NFL draft. What service did you use? 247 composite has Michigan #20 in 2014.Hoke's four classes at UM:
2011: 21
2012: 7
2013: 5
2014: 31
I’m counting 2015 recruiting class as Hokes since Harbaugh was hired on December 30th. It’s like putting 2007 on CNS. Not much time for an incoming coach to recruitHoke's last season was 2014.

Ahh, then we can remove that medicare first class. Kinda makes it a wash. There was plenty of talent to win right away with on campus when Harbaugh arrived - it's not like he walked into Memphis.I’m counting 2015 recruiting class as Hokes since Harbaugh was hired on December 30th. 14 players were signed in that class. Only 5 committed before Harbaugh was hired.I’m counting 2015 recruiting class as Hokes since Harbaugh was hired on December 30th. It’s like putting 2007 on CNS. Not much time for an incoming coach to recruit
No he didn’t inherit Memphis. He had a good defensive team but an average to below average offense when he arrived. Same situation as Mac. The only difference is many despise Harbaugh but have sympathy for Mac.Ahh, then we can remove that medicare first class. Kinda makes it a wash. Not to shocking considering they fired their coach in December14 players were signed in that class. Only 5 committed before Harbaugh was hired.
Can one find them both annoying? Asking for a friend. :biggrin:He had a good defensive team but an average to below average offense when he arrived. Same situation as Mac. The only difference is many despise Harbaugh but have sympathy for Mac.
Alabama fans actively cheering for Mac bringing back Florida as a a major contender made me find Mac extremely annoying. :biggrin:Can one find them both annoying? Asking for a friend.
Sagarin's SOS for each team in the 3 years since the coaches were hired:No he didn’t inherit Memphis. He had a good defensive team but an average to below average offense when he arrived. Same situation as Mac. The only difference is many despise Harbaugh but have sympathy for Mac.
And One (Harbaugh) took the other (Mac) to the woodshed twice. And we still hear more from Bama fans crying about what happened to Mac than any Florida fan. Mac’s numbers are as inflated as Harbaugh’s ego. The SECE has been one of the worst subdivisions in the nation the last 3 years and the BIG 10 East has been one of the best.Yet, Harbaugh hasn't done more than what Mac did before getting canned.
One talked a big game and gets paid more than he deserves. The other just is just awkward and had relations with a shark.
Yet their SOS are vastly different. And One (Harbaugh) took the other (Mac) to the woodshed twice. And we still hear more from Bama fans crying about what happened to Mac than any Florida fan. third best team in his division actuallyQuit picking on the genius. All that talent, all that tradition, all the sleepovers, and they are solidly the third best team in their conference. Worth every penny.

Coach Mac had a far different issue this past year. What coach could lose as many players due to off field activities and still win?? Now.....should he have known about their credit card scams before he did? Certainly....but it can be argued that Mullin might still be in Starkville had Florida's players behaved and played ball.Yet their SOS are vastly different.
I'm not necessarily defending Mac here. Just pointing out one faced a much harder schedule and still had the same record in the first two years before he rubbed any and everyone the wrong way.
For them to have the same situation upon arrival in 2015, one got much more national attention for doing the same thing as the other.
