Sorry to hear this sad news......what an amazing music pioneer......what an amazing man.......we've lost another icon.

RIP Mr. Hall....and thank you for all you have left us.

For me, my entry into the music from Muscle Shoals really started during my first year in college....1972......when I was living in Gainesville and had access to a couple of really good record stores. I was already a huge Allman Brothers fan and as I bought each new Allman Brothers record, I would pour over all the liner notes and took a lot of interest in who the supporting (and guest) musicians were. Yeah....Muscle Shoals......that where most of the "good" music was coming from. Went to my first Allman Brothers concert and Wet Willie was the opening act. More greatness from that studio. Too many acts to name but those were some very special times in my life....and I will always be in debt to this man who was instrumental in making it all happen.
