The players better be focusing on things they can control, or Saban will be chewing them out.I cannot fault the others .. but if you are a
Tide Pride member ... you have a choice . Make a profit .. maybe just less of one and make sure to get to Bama fan!
Yes it is tempting at that price .. but what do the players think when they see the Georgia fans massively outnumbering Bama??
Yeah that effectively makes it about 30k tickets that are neutral ticket holders. I believe the 40 k that both teams were allotted will be kept by the season ticket holders. So I don’t suspect the tickets to go below 1500 on second hand sources. This is a big reason that I believe Dallas is a better place to play a national championship than Atlanta. More tickets in Dallas to go around and it’s a central location.Keep in mind the University allotment is only 20,000 tickets. Sponsors, Falcons PSL owners, people buying VIP packages, etc account for almost half of the tickets in the stadium. Many of those are going to the highest bidder regardless.
A simple way to fix it. Put ALL TP tickets at will call and ID and CC matching account holder required to pick up. Other than that, the TP member can return tix they are not going to be able to use and they can be offered to another TP member who can go. (I know after 2009 they did that with faculty / staff tix, not sure if they still do.)
Also, stop the practice of being allowed to buy more seats to the post season than one buys to the regular season.
I’ve been blessed to have been to multiple championship games, ND being the best $3k every spent for a ticket. I have NO issue with capitalism but, UA could help if it wanted to. It’s not like the extra $$$ over face goes to UA!
The people who can order 8 bowl tickets have donated an astonishing amount of money to the University, at least 6 figures. It is right for there to be a reward for that.A simple way to fix it. I agree! If Jerry wasn’t an arrogant dip, he’d get the CFP and SB on a regular basis. I’m all for it living in Dallas and having access to 6 club seats on the 40 yard line to every event there.Yeah that effectively makes it about 30k tickets that are neutral ticket holders. What gives you the right to dictate what someone else does with their tickets? And how do you know they aren't inviting their friends and family? There is a lot of sour grapes on this thread. If you want tickets and didn't get them you have two choices going forward. Donate more money or buy tickets on the open market. Nothing is going to change that. Then make sure they use them, not use 2 and sell 6 profiting $12k.
If they use them, give to friends family etc., that is fine. My beef are the ones who order 8 knowing they will only need 2 just to put on Stubhub to profit $$$$$.What gives you the right to dictate what someone else does with their tickets? not sure how it will play out with this game, but usually the stub hub prices drop the day before, day of the game. not sure about the scalper scene outsideI fell 64 points short of getting tickets through TP. I’m going anyway. Who knows I might get lucky and find a ticket.

i've only dealt with a scalper here once. i had a ticket to one of the seccg and at the last minute had a suite ticket given to me, so i had to offload my original ticket. got face value for it from a scalper.Outside scene won't change for this game. I live in Atl and everyone I know wants to go. Some say,"Whatever the cost!" Some say, "I'll wait, no more than a G!"...Either way...scalpers are living high on the hog on this one...Hopefully I'll see everyone there!!!RTR!!! #seventeentitles

Didn't get taken to Shakedown Street?
heh. i'm sure the guy was thinking it, because i pretty much look like an easy mark. in the end i spent $100 total and got to sit in a company suite, so i was pretty pleased. i also learned that if i am buying on stubhub, wait until the day before the game or day of as i bought high.Didn't get taken to Shakedown Street?
