Until Janet is invited back to do a halftime show like Justin Timberlake is, I call BS on the entire halftime show industry

Heck, I didn't even know there was halftime entertainment until this year. I thought it was just the bands like a normal college game.

Just seeing JB and KL ins the same sentence makes me chuckle.

I love K-dot, but that was bad.

And I definitively am not trying to put them on the same level. Just pointing out that the simple technique of repetitive lyrics isn't what makes a song bad.

Haha, I still thought the bands played, too. I didn't watch the halftime show. In fact, I almost always turn the channel when any group starts playing during a sporting event. ESPN Gameday and SEC Now have intros with groups playing; I turn it. Half-time shows have music; I turn it. If I want a concert, I'll go to a concert. I just don't buy in to the total entertainment package they shove down our throats. I just want to watch football when I watch football. I guess I'm just on old fuddy-duddy. It's great for others; I certainly don't expect them to change it for me. I just change the channel.

Halftime entertainment: I'd rather be able to watch and listen to the Million Dollar Band than hear a singer, even if it's my favorite singer. This is a football game, NOT a concert!

That helps me relax while getting ready for the 2nd Half of the game and OT, if necessary!

I would rather do time than listen to that.

It's the worst one I have ever seen.

I used to work with a fella in Birmingham that was a sound engineer. He did stadium shows for Prince, Frank Zappa, and The Police just to name drop a few before retiring from the road. He told me that you can make a live band sound right anywhere, it just takes work and planning. TIFWIW

*We've got a music expert on our board (Crimsonaudio) who could give a professional opinion on it. Maybe he'll give us his professional opinion on the performance.

**I'm no sound expert or musical expert but I've always been told if you want to know if someone could really sing or if they were just a studio creation, is listen to them sing live. So you're saying a good sound engineer can cover up a bad singer even in a live performance?
