One of the beat writers from Baton Rouge called in to our local sports talk show and he said the "deep pocket donors" are embarrassed and feel like they were deceived. Supposedly they "signed off on" Orgeron because he was going to play a "CEO" role and hire top notch coordinators to run the offense and defense. Up to this point they've had to pay a DC head coaching money to get him to stay and just hired an OC no one's ever heard of. The Cajuns ain't happy and the beat writer said it wouldn't surprise him one bit if next season was it for Orgeron, even with a winning record. He would have to beat Bama and play in SECCG to save his job. That's how ticked off they are.I suspect LSU will be fine, as I'm betting that a year from now their head coach will have the initials DA. And I think that's why he was retained for the amount he was - everyone who knows anything about CFB knows that Orgeron's days are numbered...
