If I recall correctly, Stan White won a 3-man competition at QB when he won the job. I’m curious as to what happened to the other 2 guys. Seems they went off into oblivion.

Stan White was a pretty good QB for Auburn, B1G, but don't know for sure who he's asking about.

Stan White succeeded Reggie Slack as QB at Auburn following the 1989 season. He beat out Frank McIntosh.
In 1991, he beat out three nobodies: Corey Lewis, Richard Hanna, and Danny Raines.
In 1992, he held off Patrick Nix.
In 1993, he held off Nix and Patrick Sullivan.
After listening to all of the many different calls of Tua's walkoff kill shot, it made me secretly wish that there was one out there by Stan White & Rob Bramblett that I could listen to. 
Yeah and people forget that. Amazing Jay could stand after all the hits he took that year. I was at the Vandy game that year and he got pounded in that game.
In his first Iron Bowl, he was welcomed by an old teammate and high school fellow alum Byron Holdbrooks. I think it happened on about the 2nd or 3rd play. RIP Byron.
