Couple of reasons for this. One is -- and don't take this and run too far with it -- that there are a couple of prospects out there Alabama has looked at to some extent or another that have yet to sign. The other is that, if they sign with a competitor, it affects the rankings. We want to take our time and get everything right the first time.
Short takes on the class:
* I've got Bama ranked 8th nationally, second in the SEC. Really only three SEC teams recruited well this year (UGA, UA, AU). The break line is 15th, and AU was the last to finish inside it (12th).
* It's a good class with a hole in it (DT). I didn't feel QB was a necessity.
* Best DB class signed anywhere in the country.
