TUSCALOOSA, AL – Alabama baseball and the Grand Slammers, the Crimson Tide's booster club, will host the annual "Grand Slammers Barbeque" this Saturday, Feb. 10, in the North Zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium from 1:30-3 p.m. CT.
The event will feature door prizes, autograph sessions and photo opportunities with the Crimson Tide baseball team along with head coach Brad Bohannon and his staff. Attendees can also pick up their copy of the official 2018 Alabama baseball team poster.
Doors will open at 1 p.m. CT at Gate 1 of Bryant-Denny. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for youth (12 and under). Parking for the day is available around the apron of the stadium and in all lots surrounding the area that are not reserved for residents.
Current Grand Slammers members can arrive and check their name off the list at the door, get a door prize ticket and enter the event. Those who have not joined or renewed their 2018 membership can do so through RollTide.com or on the day of the barbeque. Many levels are available for both renewing and new members, and would include the cost of the barbeque for day-of registration.
Fans are also welcome to buy a ticket to join the Tide and Grand Slammers at the barbeque.
Following the barbeque, Alabama supporters in attendance at the Alabama men's basketball game against Tennessee can meet the team, pick up posters and collect autographs from the 2018 Tide on the main concourse of Coleman Coliseum from 3:30-4:30 p.m. CT.
The 2018 Alabama baseball season begins on Friday, Feb. 16, as the Crimson Tide plays host to the Valparaiso Crusaders. Opening day is scheduled for a 3 p.m. CT first pitch with Saturday's contest set to begin at 2 p.m. The series finale on Sunday will start at 1 p.m. to close out opening weekend.
