Why would his age hurt him. If he came out with his normal age group from high school going to college he would be a graduating Senior right now. I doubt one year is going to hurt his stock one way or the other.
Apparently age matters more for WRs than some other positions. Some of the typical age concerns are 1) limited upside because the player is farther along in their development 2) This goes along with 1 but because of being further along in their physical development they SHOULD dominate in college as they are often matched up against 18 and 19 year olds.

There is also a good amount of data backing up the idea that older WRs don't do as well in the NFL. You could see it 2 years ago with Josh Doctson's draft stock. He still went in the 1st round but later than many thought. He also wasn't the 1st WR off the board like many predicted he would be.

As for Ridley, he is already 23 so that would make him 24 in December of his rookie year. That's pretty old for a rookie.

Personally, I think Ridley will really succeed in the NFL looks at age when drafting.
