Yeah, I didn't think the show was particularly good lately. I'm guessing their contracts were coming up and they decided to move in a different direction (moving the Dunaway, Brown, and Taylor show to 6-10). The Roundtable has been their best show since Paul Finebaum took his show to the big time. This move makes a ton of sense.
The Roundtable sucks too...

Seems everything (except Finebaum) on Box has a barn flavor.

Normally I am not too harsh on talking heads. One reason I hated Round Table was the TRASH ON THE TABLE. It was mostly vulgar and silliness. Two things I won't listen to on sports are Political Correctness Crap and Vulgarness. I have the Media for Political Correctness and there is Porn if I want vulgar.
Bingo!!! You knocked it out of the park!

I don't like The Roundtable moving to mornings, that's my "get me through the midday at work" show. I also wonder if this means they are off in Montgomery since 740 already has a morning show (it's horrible but I doubt 740 gets rid of it).
Same for the Ump in Huntsville. 6-10 is Cole Cubelic’s show which is good too. The RT was essentially syndicated state wide in the 10-2 slot being heard all along I65 (Huntsville, Birmingham, & Montgomery).

It was a horrible show. The Roundtable was much better but I'm not sure it could survive with the morning crowd. I would rather see something else in the mornings and keep The Roundtable where it is.
The roundtable is my favorite show on the radio. I wish it would stay at its time slot. I agree with you. I think their style fits the midday better.

I purchased Sirius/XM back in August and the Show on ESPNU radio with Greg McElroy and Taylor Zarzar in the morning is really good. Also here in Huntsville. Cole Cubelic’s show is a really good show.

I’m really disappointed though because WUMP won’t be able to simulcast The Roundtable live because of The Cube Show. It is going to replay from 10-2 for a few weeks, but it’s only temporary.

Speaking of WUMP, I really thought they'd have gone in a different direction than the Big Dog in the evening. He's just not my cup of tea.

I agree with you. He doesn’t make a lot of sense sometimes. I wish they would move Cube Show to the afternoon and now simulcast The Roundtable’s new slot.

I've never understood the love for Rick and Bubba. Then again, I abhor country music, so...

Rick and Bubba stink. They actually were pretty funny in the beginning but when they got serious and started mixing politics and religion in with the show, I quit listening.

Never know, there could be some shuffling over there too if they decide this move by jox could help impact their ratings in some way. I'll have to listen to the Sports Bugg out of the Shoals in the evening now.

Isn't political correctness often just a form of policing vulgarity? I'm confused...
PC may have started out that way, but if so, it was very selective. E.g., rap is allowed almost anything vulgar, but even it can't broach the taboo subjects, at least from a taboo pov. Not that it is so inclined. Therefore, many see it as one of the tools of academia, the MSM, the entertainment world, etc. to suppress the taboo subjects and points of view, thereby, exercising control of social issue and political dialogue, including in sports.

Suttles got his work cut out for him to overcome two barners. HA
I don't know much about Landrum Roberts, but I've seen and heard a lot of Cole Cubelic on the SEC Network and on JOX over the last few years. He's always seemed very objective and fair, to me. I think he'll do a great job. He was the first person I thought of when they announced that the Round Table was moving to mornings and there would be a new mid-day show.

I like Cubelic on the SECN. Suttles is interesting on twitter. Hopefully it will transition to radio. Just poking fun at this show being a bit Auburn-alum heavy.

When I saw this, I thought the same thing. Cole Cubelic is not an unbearable barner and calls it like he sees it (at least when I stream his show). Seems CC will be the moderate guy and the other two will be Bama/AU guys. Similar set up to the previous morning show but with better hosts. Im looking forward to giving it a listen. I know CC has to be happy about it. He was not shy about hating the 6-10a slot. He's also a Birmingham guy. My favorite thing he does is breaking down film, especially in the front seven.

All barners? I know that Cubelic is but not certain on the other two.
