Re: Report: Alabama, Notre Dame negotiating home-and-home series a

That sounds great. Hope to see a few of these in the near future. I suppoooooose I could live without a Duke neutral site game if necessary. Yawn.

Suttles (first reported the ND news) just tweeted Alabama is also in discussion with Texas for a home-and-home.

It is going to be a while before this happens. Notre Dame's schedule is set already for a decade and Texas is pretty well set too.

I guess ND is thinking Saban will be retired by the time it happens. At least they hope so.:)

Nothing is set in stone. Schedules change all the time, just like coaches.

On Jox yesterday they were discussing the SEC going to a 9 game conf. schedule because no SEC team has more than two OOC games set for 2020. I like the sound of that.

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I hope we do not go to nine conference games. I just don't see the benefit. Even with our depth, our guys were injured and worn down last year. I still say we need two or three easier games that allow for rest and the development of younger players.

Everyone needs to start collecting links so that after we beat the fire out of whoever, they don’t pull the “well that team wasn’t any good.”

You know, like FSU last year and USC the year before?

It would be cool if we could work something out with Oklahoma, if only a one-off neutral site game. I want revenge for 2013 (and 02-03).

If they go in that direction, the 12th game should be dropped.

No it shouldn't, and its because all the other conferences would have one game more than us with the BIG 12 starting their championship game. If anything the Power 5 OOC game rule should be dropped because there would be no reason to boost the schedule
I like the sound of that.

2020- USC
2021- Miami

We need to schedule Rice so we can finally beat them.
Yeah why not.

In 2019 we should drop Duke, NMS, USM, and WCU (We should REALLY drop this one given our string of injuries against them) and add Okie Lite, Rice, NIU, and UCF.

Come to think of it... Okie St, NIU, and UCF alone might make it one of the hardest schedules in the CNS era with us traveling to aTm, USCe, and Auburn...
