The revival of Roseanne premiered to massive ratings Tuesday night.

The return delivered an incredible 18.2 million viewers along with an equally impressive 5.1 rating among adults 18-49.

According to ABC, this is the highest-rated comedy telecast on any network in nearly four years (since a premiere episode of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory from 2014).

So, yes, even bigger than NBC’s mega-hit This Is Us during any of its regularly scheduled episodes, where the weepy dramedy usually tops out around a 3.0 adult demo rating (the special This Is Us post-Super Bowl episode was bigger, but that’s to be expected).

In the adult demo, it also trumps Sunday’s blockbuster 60 Minutes episode which featured an interview with Stormy Daniels.

Also kinda incredible, given how ratings have declined over the years: Roseanne’s return was actually higher among total viewers than its 1997 finale 21 years ago!

Roseanne Barr sparked controversy this week for appearing to promote a far-right conspiracy theory about the Parkland shooting student-activist David Hogg.

On Tuesday evening, just before the revival of her ABC sitcom "Roseanne" premiered, Barr tweeted the words "NAZI SALUTE" in response to a Twitter user who tagged Hogg in a tweet. She later deleted her tweet.

ICYMI Roseanne replied to a David Hogg conspiracy theorist who tagged the actual boy, but then ABC made her delete it. Don't worry, here's a screenshot:

Barr, a vocal Trump supporter with a history of promoting right-wing conspiracy theories, seemed to be referencing a far-right conspiracy theory that Hogg raised a Nazi salute at a March for Our Lives rally on Saturday.

Heh. I'm so uninterested in the political views of entertainers that I had no idea Roseanne was a Trump supporter. Maybe I should pay attention to pop culture? Nah, still don't care.

I had no idea either till I read about her promoting the Q-Anon conspiracy garbage that makes pizzagate seem almost reasonable by comparison.

I liked her doing stand-up but never liked the original show. Didn't watch the reboot but I will eventually check it out through Comcast on demand. Too much of hearing her voice used to grate on the nerves.

IMO, Roseanne is right up there with Rosie O'Donnell. I never watched her back in the day and will not watch her now.

I was surprised to learn she likes Trump. I always thought her politics leaned to the left.

Won’t see the new one
Wouldn’t see her 30 years ago as a Trumpkin but stranger things have happened
If you enjoy it, that’s cool.
