I would submit that " tradition " for an 18 year old recruit might go back 10 years but not much further, if any. Today`s recruits might have heard of Coach Bryant, but his tenure at Alabama has essentially no impact on their decision making process. JMHO and hopefully grist for discussion in the off season.

Agreed. Young people don't value traditions of any sort. They have to be personally relevant.

disagree what the kids value is the dollar bill. You tell them you get them to the league in a pipeline works. Also, every kid is different Boz fo instanced loved the bama history and look at Tyson (bama history is all around him) tradition is limited to kids that grew up in a fan household or legacy. Our society moves more now than they ever have before. This also help lands kids all over the country which has built our success. double edged sword
