I don't think so - just someone who loaded their bike up with gadgets.....Is this for a quadriplegic?

You are doing it wrong.
$6k for a bike.i'm going to order my new gravel bike tomorrow. i paused it a month or so to make sure we were going to be able to navigate our business through the covid troubles. i was originally planning on going with the third to the highest component (i think i posted that one a page or two back in the thread), but my wife actually talked me into getting the top end component group (shimano grx 810 with electronic shifting). as a bonus, that is only offered with a hot pink frame, so i get to be that guy.
it's a carbon framed salsa warbird and will be around 20lbs once i put the pedals on. i can't wait to ride it hopefully next week.
yep. i'm splurging.$6k for a bike.
where do you ride to/from in Vinings?Biked 8 miles yesterday, felt like I could have done more. No pain in the shoulder at all. I think I may do another 8-10 today.
Silver Comet. I park at the top of the hill off the East/West Connector, bike for awhile and turnaround and come back. Some days I will go and bike down the along the Chattahoochee.where do you ride to/from in Vinings?
Yep, it is very crowded and most don't know trail etiquette (walking in the middle, while walking just suddenly turning without even bothering to look, not announcing that they are passing you). One of the bike show workers told me their business is up 600%. You actually have to make an appointment. We live in "Smynings" about 1 mile from the trail start and near the comet connector. My wife and daughter run/walk the trail about 1x per week - or at least had been prior to lockdown. They did it a few weeks ago when nobody was out. Has it been overrun with people now that folks are out and about ? (They closed Riverside Park this week b/c a former UGA player was having training sessions for a a bunch of kids in the park w/o a permit. )
the shop i go to has been absolutely slammed the past three months. have heard of other shops blowing away their biggest year records by may. i have also talked to lots of parents who are having a hard time finding bikes for their kidsYep, it is very crowded and most don't know trail etiquette (walking in the middle, while walking just suddenly turning without even bothering to look, not announcing that they are passing you). I did 10 miles tonight, and going to try for 10-12 tomorrow.
