"This year’s schedule kicks off on Sept. 1 with West Virginia vs. Tennessee at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. Other SEC ON CBS games announced today include last year’s SEC Champion Georgia visiting South Carolina on Sept. 8; last season’s SEC West Champion Auburn hosting LSU on Sept. 15; and Florida vs. Georgia in their annual rivalry game on Oct. 27."

"There will be three consecutive Saturday doubleheaders late in the season and two Thanksgiving weekend games, putting multiple college football games on CBS in four of the final five regular-season weekends."

Sept.1 Louisville 7:00 CT ABC
Sept 8 Arkansas State 2:30 CT ESPN2
Sept. 15 Ole Miss 6:00 CT

I'm sure CBS will have the Iron Bowl on Nov. 24 at 2:30 CT

I know there are a couple of games filled in here and there, but none that weren't already anticipated. So basically this is just an announcement to tell us there is no announcement. Thanks for the update, CBS!

What stands out to me about this is the lack of Alabama-Tennessee, Alabama-LSU, and Alabama-*u being on the schedule from day one. It is understandable, with those three games coming at a stage of the season when these opponents of Alabama might well be struggling to get bowl eligible, not competing for a championship. A couple of the three could be already in 'coach-search' mode.
