Miss. State with a bottom 9, 2 out, 3 run walk off bomb to eliminate FSU!

SEC is 9-1 thus far.

I thought the announcers jinxed the Miss State kid when he went 0 and 2 and sure enough he drills it. That was crazy!

The barn is slaughtering Army 12-1 in the 9th. They are in the drivers seat now

SEC is 13-2 so far with 2 more games to finish tonight. USCe is up 4-2 on 1 seed ECU and LSU is getting slaughtered by Oregon St. 10-1 in the 6th so looks like we'll finish 14-3 after the first 2 days (not all games have been played due to rain).

Not bad!

14-2 now after USCe just beat ECU. We now have 5 teams already 2-0 and in the regional final. I don't care what anyone says, that's impressive.

Mike Martin has to be one of the greatest coaches of the college game, but absolutely mind-boggling decision to send Parrish out there in the ninth. Two-plus hour rain delay AND he's sitting at 100+ pitches? I know they'd be having to come through the loser's bracket so you want to preserve pitching wherever you can, but c'mon, that's just a dumb decision.

I'm not as high on Martin. There have been many times he has had loaded teams and almost every time it seems they have to play out of the loser's bracket in their own home regional, then play decent in the supers, and then absolutely chokes in Omaha. Same story every year with them.

I'm not a Martin fan either. Having said that, his strategy was one strike away from winning...

Sure, but that doesn't mean it was a winning strategy, or even the best move in a situation. Even if you want to bring Parrish in after the delay, you've got to have a quick hook. I'd have thought he'd have pulled him after the lead-off walk in the inning, but I think you definitely go to your closer or best available bullpen arm once the second walk occurs.

Just my .02, though. Sometimes even the worst decisions in baseball can pay off, but that doesn't make the decision good in retrospect.

Mississippi St beats Oklahoma 8-1. They'll face Vandy in a Super Regional. Probably in Starkville if I had to guess.

South Carolina beats UNC Wilmington 8-4, so they'll travel to Fayetteville to face Arkansas in the Supers

Georgia lost to Duke 8-5 in the earlier game today, so they're currently playing a winner-takes-all final game. Georgia just went up 2-0 in the second.

Florida and FAU have been in a weather delay so far, and they are just now getting under way

LSU was also eliminated.

Ole Miss got destroyed by Tenn Tech, but they get another shot at them later.

UGA lost twice to Duke today and fails to advance. Ole Miss is three outs away from the same fate, trailing Tennessee Tech 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th. Florida lost to FAU and is about to play the "if" game.

Georgia and Ole Miss chokes even though I think TT is a great hitting ball club. UF is fighting for their lives in the winner takes all game as we speak.

Super sites will be announced at 7am but most are guaranteed at this point. Just waiting on Florida and the Vandy/MSU sure to be announced along with Cal State-Fullerton and Washington.

Man CSF can come into the tourney with a losing record and can make the Supers. They seem to win every year!!!

UF got in, so it's them, Auburn, South Carolina, Arkansas, Vandy, and State? Six of sixteen isn't so bad.
