Interesting, I didn't even know what a "lapsed Catholic" was or that there was a debate around it. Had to look it up.

I was mostly just joking on the Bernie front though. Most of my Jewish friends are very similar to him though the younger ones tend to embrace the label of atheist more readily.

In September 2017, then-Secretary of State Kemp emailed with campaign advisors about a media report discussing efforts to correct a “string of problems” with county officials’ attempts to challenge the registration of hundreds of voters. The report concluded that “the errors may have violated federal law.” Mr. Kemp responded by congratulating his campaign team, writing, “Good work, this story is so complex folks will not make it all the way through it.” A top campaign staffer, David Dove, agreed that the article “won’t help draw eyeballs.”

Just two days before the 2018 election for governor, Republican Brian Kemp opened an explosive investigation, accusing the Democratic Party of Georgia of trying to hack voter registration systems.

Kemp was Georgia’s secretary of state at the time, overseeing his own heated election for governor against Democrat Stacey Abrams.

Sixteen months later, the attorney general’s office released a report Tuesday finding no evidence of a hack and closing the investigation Kemp had launched.

The GOP's loss of its soul is sad. The country needs two honorable parties with significantly different philosophies. The GOP no longer has one, just to hold on to as much power, for self-enrichment, as long as possible, that and abortion. When enough people realize that's all that's left, it may be out of power for decades...

1) Socialist Democratic Party- Mascot: coyote
2) Democrats- mascot: donkey
3) Republicans- elephant
4) America First Party- Mascot: Goat

And now the GOP holding up the bill to fund aid for COVID19 because Paul wants an offset somewhere else in the budget. Paul supported huge tax cuts for the rich which produced a $1T deficit this year, but he opposes this and the 9/11 relief fund.

Honestly, how can anyone want to be a part of that trash?

You know it is possible to fund aid for corona virus aid without being a liberal. It is like these guys have lost all understanding of nuance.
