Said in another thread that I think we may push averaging 500 yards this year. Think passing numbers go up and rushing yards stay about the same.

Auburn basically hasn't had a real quarterback the entire time period until Stidham in 2017. They've won the SEC once, played in a national championship game, and two NY6 bowls over that time period. The only way all that happens without a QB for most of it is by running the dang ball.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Marshall ended up being a damn fine college QB. White was serviceable, but injury prone and liked to party a bit too much. Beyond them, things weren't good until Stidham.

But like B1G said, our offense is predicated on establishing the run game. When we get that going, everything else tends to click. There's a lot of motion to throw defenses off, but we like to run it right at them and it's when we're at our best.

Most important stat for me since Nick Saban has been here?

132-20. The man teaches his team how to win.

As Scott Hunter told people after his shootout with Archie Manning in 1969, a game in which Manning threw for 400 something yards and ran for another 100. “33 Points beats 500 yards any day of the week.”

Roll Tide!!

Elsewhere I posted the yardage for Alabama every year under Saban, and it was remarkably consistent. Auburn was remarkably inconsistent, I should probably take a look at Florida though, that should be fun.

There are less abusive ways to self-harm than looking at Florida's offense since Tebow.

Guess we've been focusing more on baseball and basketball. :D

And lacrosse - just don't go letting Urbie snooker you into joining the B1G so you can get into conference play like they did with Johns Hopkins (and Notre Darn for ice hockey).

Edit: Wait a minute, the Gators are LAX members of the Big East?!?

We forget that it's been since 2010 that UF had a decent offense, or at least a decent offense after October.....
Of course, it just doesn't seem like it's been THAT long, especially for those of us that grew up with the Fun 'n' Gun it's just hard to fathom UF has been that bad offensively.

LOL!! Guess I'm a bit older than you. When I was growing up, UF was usually a mediocre program. And when they weren't mediocre it usually meant they were about to go on probation..... ;)
