Kendell Jones. Benito Jones was another DT we missed on.The Hulk (he was from Texas and I think his name was Benito Jones). The kid was a beast. I think grades were his demise.

Henry. Best RB in the history of HS football. He was a can't miss recruit who was going to win a championship wherever he landed.
But in the end... We were glad we didn't sign themYeah for Tunsil and Little, that was that weird time period a few years where we and Ole Miss went back and forth signing the top tackle. We signed Cyrus, then they signed Tunsil, then we signed Cam, then they got Little.
Robert Nkendiche
and some others who went to Ole Miss that year ultimately beat us twice during the regular season. Although we may have dodged a bullet with those guys and their character issues which may have cost us more games than just the two to Ole Miss.
Maybe the making of another thread: What recruit were you bummed out about missing on and then thankful we did?Nkendiche for me as well. I was really bummed when Jameis Winston chose FSU but that turned out to be a blessing.
That's right. My memory ain't what it used to be...Kendell Jones. Benito Jones was another DT we missed on.
Like Tim Tebow?Maybe the making of another thread: What recruit were you bummed out about missing on and then thankful we did?
I am not sure about leading but I thought he would choose us. Now he is the best OL in the SEC IMO.Trey Smith definitely. Weren’t we leading for him most of his recruitment?
I hope we are talking to him. He is one of the fastest prospects I have ever seen.https://twitter.com/chriskirschner/status/1009838149042954240?s=21
Ironic that I started this thread yesterday and today this comes out about Demetrius Robertson.
JW can fill spots 1-10 for me. Others keep bringing up some of the OL from Ole Miss but was that character or environment? With JW he has proven over and over it is a character issue.Maybe the making of another thread: What recruit were you bummed out about missing on and then thankful we did?
So with the rule changes, would he be eligible to play immediately?I hope we are talking to him. He is one of the fastest prospects I have ever seen.
Not sure who he would start in front of. We have some special WR on our team who were freshmen last year also.So with the rule changes, would he be eligible to play immediately?
No - he is not a grad transfer. He has to sit a year or go down a level. So with the rule changes, would he be eligible to play immediately?
or go JUCO for a semesterNo - he is not a grad transfer. He has to sit a year or go down a level.
I’m there with you on Nkemdiche. As has been noted her, it seemed that we were constantly missing on the top defensive line prospect. Clowney was another I’d hoped to land.I twisted it to an OSU point of view, so picked Henry. From an Alabama point of view - Tunsil and/or Robert Nkendiche. With one or both, Alabama probably wins at least one more championship, and Alabama would have landed both if not for the $$$.
Agree on Clowney...I’m there with you on Nkemdiche. As has been noted her, it seemed that we were constantly missing on the top defensive line prospect. Clowney was another I’d hoped to land.
I'm not sure either but he was a 5* from 2016 and would most likely be faster than all of our current WR's. He was committed to us at one time and he is a special talent. Not sure who he would start in front of. We have some special WR on our team who were freshmen last year also.
Indeed he is. Probably the best to come out of this area ( Savannah ) in quite a few moons. I was sorry when we didn`t get him. He`s one you want to find room for if you possibly can. Kid`s electric.I'm not sure either but he was a 5* from 2016 and would most likely be faster than all of our current WR's. He was committed to us at one time and he is a special talent.
