Hasn’t the emphasis been on defensive recruits? Bama can always
use more DL and LB as well as DB players

Why not? It's not a question of Gus getting run off, but when he will be run off. The barn didn't have the cash this year, but maybe next when the buyout comes down...?

They had the money this year - but no solid replacement lined up. They’ve got a year to address that.
A 10 win season might save him next year, but losing again to both Bama and Georgia will make it difficult for him to stay; another season like this one and it will be his last at the Barn.
I don’t know how they win 10 next year.
