What ONE mini-series would you want if you were stranded on a deserted island?

Assuming of course you had a portable player to watch with.

Some that come to mind include "Band of Brothers", "Breaking Bad", "Roots", "Rich Man Poor Man", "From the Earth to the Moon", "Lost", "The Thorn Birds", and "Better Call Saul".

I know there are some other good ones.

Please pick only one.

I'm going to go with "Band of Brothers".

I was going to ask, what makes a miniseries?

I'd say bands of brothers = miniseries
Breaking bad (my choice) = not a miniseries, but instead a full on series

You may be right - thanks for the clarification.

What about "Mad Men"? Let's just say any series or mini-series....probably close enough to the same thing....

For what I would consider a mini-series: Lonesome Dove.

Regular TV series: Seinfeld (or maybe The Andy Griffith Show)

1) Band of Brothers
2) Centennial
3) Lonesome Dove

A trunkful of John Wayne or Clint Eastwood would also keep me occupied.

Which desert islands have electricity?

Lately decided to get "Homicide - Life on the Street" and Crime Story". Neither one of these series I watched on TV when they originally aired, so I have some good entertainment ahead of me.

Likely will save for rainy days - or when power is out for days due to hurricanes and there is no cable or Internet and portable DVD player comes into play.

Game of thrones since you considered lost a mini series.

For a true mini series I guess if you allow podcasts it would have to be Dan Carlin’s Ostfront and TV History channel’s Barbarians.
