Sounds like a number of issues may have factored into this decision. Other than his performance in the iron bowl, I thought he had a solid year.

He gets way too much heat for a few of last season's issue games. We really could've used him this year - raw lack of depth being the biggest reason, but beyond that, I'm not entirely convinced in the speed and athleticism of the of the other backup ILBs. Keith definitely had speed and athleticism.

I am glad that he is happy and moving on, and I believe that Saban helped him make this decision.

It was probably and easy choice. He has a potential shot in MLB. He wasn't going to make it in the NFL.

Like others, I wish him the best and thank him for his past important contributions on the football team.
