Hey, at least she's not running child sex slavery from a pizza shop. It could have all been so much worse for us.
This is just another example of why asinine taxation, employment, and wage regulations are just that: asinine.
Most regulation apparently targetting the wealthy - especially those seemingly designed to punish the wealthy - rarely hit their mark. Those with the wherewithal and resources to avoid the regulations by taking advantage of loopholes do just that and those regulations end up really just punishing those at the lower end of the thresholds which do not possess the resources to take advantage of loopholes, i.e., the middle class.
After all, politicians want the average citizen to believe them when they say that they want to punish the wealthy but the simple truth is that they rarely, if ever, actually do. Why? First, they're probably in that group themselves. Even if they aren't then, second, the people in that group are the ones primarily responsible for them getting elected and then reelected.
The only people who believe that any significant number of politicians in Washington DC have the average citizen's best interests at heart are either idiots, completely ignorant, and/or delusional idealists.
