Turn your irony detectors off, lest you be injured by shrapnel.

During an appearance on CNN New Day, Starr was questioned on whether he thought Mueller was going beyond the mandate of the investigation.

“The mandate that Bob Mueller received has some broad language, including ‘related-to’ type of language, which tends to open the door, but there are some checks and balances,” Starr continued to say, “We don’t want investigators and prosecutors out on a fishing expedition.”
There isn't a facepalm image big enough for this one...

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. His heart sank as he thought of the enormous power arrayed against him, the ease with which any Party intellectual would overthrow him in debate, the subtle arguments which he would not be able to understand, much less answer. And yet he was in the right! They were wrong and he was right.
you could always try this

He's right, but he's absolutely the wrong guy to say it. The whole point of a special counsel is to address certain things, not go on a wide ranging hunt for any dirt they can dig up.

I think the point of a special counsel is to follow the mandate given to the special counsel. Which he is.

Mueller is well within the mandate he was given. There's no "fishing expedition" going on except in Starr's mind (and Trump's)...

Watching the sleazebags like Starr now try to act like normal, responsible people, "a fishing expedition would just inherently be bad" coming from Mr. Fishing Expedition waving a soiled blue dress as his catch...

And let's not forget the current Supreme Court nominee was Starr's go to boy in justifying Starr's fishing expedition. We learn recently that Kavanaugh, while working under Starr, was obsessed with how many time Clinton ejaculated in Monica's mouth.

But the President paying off multiple sex workers to buy their silence, and working with Russians to corrupt an election is perfectly fine.

it's sort of disgusting how obsessed fundy conservatives are with other people's sex lives while secretly getting their freak on

I find it interesting that the Bible condemns hypocrisy 22 times if I remember correctly, and somehow these "evangelical" Christians don't seem to even be aware they are the walking embodiment of what the Bible repeatedly instructs people not to be.

If they were interested in following the bible we wouldn't even be talking about a Trump presidency right now.
