I agree but, technically, still a foul.Sorry, but Williams was jut bringing his hands down after jumping to try an knock down the pass. He did not hit the QB in the head - his hand came to rest on his head.
If it had been Bama that did that it would have been a pf.So now you can throw someone down by the helmet?
I have thought all along that his biggest problem was pulling the string. Now, he's throwing loosely and with confidence. Man, what a QB situation!!Wow! Great throw Jalen.
Only to an idiot without the ability to use discretion. It is like the holding call. You could literally call holding on EVERY play if the letter of the rule were followed. Thank goodness common sense prevails and it is not.I agree but, technically, still a foul.
That takedown was more egregious than either of our hits to their QB.So now you can throw someone down by the helmet?
Umm, have you been watching the refs in this game?!?!? :biggrin2:Only to an idiot without the ability to use discretion. It is like the holding call. You could literally call holding on EVERY play if the letter of the rule were followed. Thank goodness common sense prevails and it is not.
Officials aren't always supposed to go by "technically" when it comes to player safety. That's why those sort of calls can get overturned, when it's common sense and you can obviously see it was incidental. They are given leeway to make a judgment call.I agree but, technically, still a foul.
