Me thinks, maybe not Jeremy, out of respect, but he owes it to both Mouse-zan and Gumb-O.
I get the sentiment, but CNS has too much old-school in him to run up the score for the sake of scoring. He'll run the offense and give players some time on the field, and the score will be the score....

There are quite a few record that this offense could break this year and next.

Can you imagine Tua and all these WRs one year older? Yikes.

CNS has no problem running the score up in the first half because it just means the plays and personnel are working. We have been scoring so much because we are virtually unstoppable in the first half. Another reason is that we are a TD threat inside the 40 yard line...every time. Even when defenses keep 2 safeties deep, Locksley knows which routes to call to bait them away from the sure TD from Tua...who can throw a 45 yard dime.

Well the 1944 Army Black Knights hold the record for highest scoring average with a whooping 56 ppg through 9 games. No bowl game or conference championship due to being independent. So in a way Alabama can ** technically** break that through 9 games. 15 games may be a bit much to ask for. Also most of their would be competition was over in Europe and the Pacific.

The 1983 Nebraska Cornhuskers averaged 50.3 ppg through 13 games. No conference championship game but a bowl game played in.

The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers averaged 53.2 ppg through 12 games. No conference championship game but a bowl game played.

The 2008 Oklahoma Sooners averaged 51.1 ppg through 14 games. Conference championship and bowl game played.

The 2005 Texas Longhorns averaged 50.2 ppg through 13 games. Conference championship game and bowl game played.

The 2013 Florida State Seminoles averaged 51.6 ppg through 14 games. Conference championship game and bowl game played.

I left out the Michigan Wolverines of Fielding Yost aka the “Point a minute” from 1901 to 1905 because the first modern rules of football weren’t established until 1912. However it’s worth mentioning that the 1902 team averaged 58.5 ppg through 11 games and the 1904 team averaged 56.7 ppg through 10 games. Neither of which played in the Rose Bowl thanks to what the 1901 team that averaged 50 ppg through 11 games did to Stanford by annihilating them 49-0 that the game was called with 8 minutes left in the game.

When it’s all said and done this year’s Alabama offense has the potential to join the 50 ppg club. RTR!!!
