He does seem to really enjoy the college game, and doesn't seem like money is his ultimate motivator. You may be correct, I hope so.

While we are doing the mid season what ifs, how about Jalen taking a redshirt next season and returning in 2020? He is much improved from what I have seen.

In that scenario, Jalen would be facing Tua's little brother, and CPB Grandson. Both will have time in our system. Either or both could be stiff competition.

I think Tua's parents will have a lot of influence on whether he goes or stays .

IMO, you are right. My guess is that influence will be exercised along the lines of "do what you think is right" or "how you think the Lord is leading you".

    Two things:

    1) I think Tua stays at least until he gets his degree

    2) I'm seeing "talk" about Kyler being the best QB right now. I think Tua separates himself from the pack once and for all when he plays a quality opponent, and stays in the whole game.

He stays in the whole game and they turn him loose...............Oh Lord............he might throw for 500 yards

500? Easily. 600 - 700 if Saban really turns him loose.

I don't think there is any value to playing Tua more than he is playing now. We get an insurmountable lead on the other team out put him on the shelf to avoid unnecessary injury. Cause we ain't winning a championship this year without Tua available.

Given the injuries we are continuing to sustain on defense, you can make the argument for playing Jalen even more because we are better at ball control when he is in there but not necessarily as efficient offensively.

Hey, I'm all for ball control. Win the scoreboard AND win ToP... Limits opportunities for injuries on D.

It also creates much closer games, in which one mistake can create a loss. I much prefer high powered offenses that score quickly.

Thats not what I'm implying here. Get up 2-3 TDs and THEN grind out the clock. 35 seconds between plays...

Tua is gone after next year. After his performances this year and potentially doing the same again next year..... hes a first round pick. No way he bypass that for senior year.
