“Libs are the party of tolerance and acceptance...” - what “lib party” are you talking about? The Democrats?
See, this is why you can’t have reasonable discussions with Trumpers - they have no grasp of reality.
Or they exaggerate to the point of flat out lying.
The Dem Party is as corporatist as they come; nothing “liberal” about that. But because 5% of their elected officials could qualify as “liberal”, that obviously means the whole party is.
I can’t and won’t argue with overwhelming ignorance. Too much like wrestling with a pig.

How many people are crossing the border illegally?

There’s no official measure of how many people succeed in illegally crossing the border, but authorities use the number of apprehensions to gauge changes in illegal immigration. Apprehensions on the Southwest border peaked in 2000 at 1.64 million and have generally declined since, totaling 303,916 in 2017.

Those numbers, which come from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, are for fiscal years and date back to 1960.

Don't we need help cleaning up after Hurricane Michael? Send the ones willing to work to that area - house them and let 'em earn a living while the paperwork is being processed.

That's not nearly racist enough for this administration and you know it.

It makes some sort of sense, which is why Fox News would never stand for it.

Where is DBF? I expect him to pop in and reveal his immigration policy of letting the young, hot Latinas and 180-ing the rest.
He was so tough, when he was in the 82nd Airborne, he told the jumpmaster that he didn't need a parachute.

In fact, he'd jump naked out of the plane with a Bowie knife between his teeth. He figured he kill for clothes and guns once he got on the ground.

I've read that in general laborers are not needed in disaster cleanup and, most of the time, are a hindrance. Furthermore, in my experience, most of these people will have a job within a month.

It wasn’t an awful suggestion. Just pointing out why it likely wouldn’t happen.
Sorry Matt...my bad. Been a little testy from working outside in this heat.

Watched a local weather forecast at noon and the weather guy said the highs on Sunday were only going to reach the mid 80's. Might have to break out my hoodie!

Now this. I can guarantee you 90% of these “illegals” from the Northern Triangle are fleeing rampant violence.
I was in Costa Rica two years ago, and conversations with my friend who lives there, and his wife who is a Tica, confirmed this.
Sessions has said fleeing “uncontrollable “ gang violence doesn’t qualify someone for asylum. Let me ask any of you:
You’re a guy with a small family, working hard just to survive in a poor country. Gangs descend on you telling you they are coming for your son and daughter if you don’t go to work for them (reality is, they will anyway).
Your wife and daughter will become prostitutes or sex slaves for gang members, and you and your son will “start off” as drug mules.
What would you do?
This is happening; it’s been happening for years in those three years.
Many of these refugees are being turned away from border crossings where they could legally apply for asylum; the reason given is they can’t handle their petitions and they need to come back tomorrow. And this goes on day after day after day. So you’re family is now beginning to starve and suffer from exposure, so out of desperation you leave and go further along the border and try to cross illegally and get caught. Now you’re an “illegal” - never mind the fact our government is responsible for putting you in such a desperate situation to begin with.
I’ve had several conversations with an attorney in SoCal who handles immigration issues only; these chats have taken place over several years.
And yes, children are being separated from their parents who are seeking asylum before their case is even adjucated. This is Trump’s America.

I’ll address the Mexican issue later - it’s time to eat.

Please don't take offense I'm not denying what you have stated. My question is this. Once a person being abused or threatened with violence gets outside of his or her country and enters a country where that threat does not exist, is he still in any danger? If Mexico is not causing them harm I think they could hunker down there until they can apply and receive legal entry into our country.

Not to say Obama deserves zero blame for not doing what he could to fix it but Fox News, the Tea Party and Mitch McConnell deserve a healthy share of creating the environment that led to that type of thinking by obstructing every single thing including what type of mustard the man wanted.
Yes they did obstruct Obama from fully transforming America into a 3rd world socialist state. Obama is the reason Trump got elected. Also there are is such thing as a concentration camp in America. When you say that you insult the memory of the victims who went through that.

Actually OUR government is not outing them in this situation. THEIR government is by allowing gangs to run the country or worse, the gangs are part of the governmemt. Our government is just expected to fix people from other countries problems.
