I just looked at it, and I'm hosed.
There are only six states where you can remain anonymous:
North Dakota (because nobody lives there anyway)
Delaware (same)
Kansas (even worse)
Maryland
Ohio
South Carolina
All other states require public identification.
I guess the first thing would be to disconnect my phone and change my name. And given that my ex-wife is a gold digging fool, I'd likely leave the country for awhile.
I won $2. I promise not to make my new found wealth change me.
So if you buy the ticket say, Aug. 1 and don't check it until January, what happens if say you won the drawing August 2nd? Would that money just sit there waiting on you for 6 months?I didn't buy any because I already have a system for the lottery.
Twice a year I buy a regular 6 number Lotto ticket for 52 advance draws. I use the same 6 numbers - not quick pics - numbers taken from certain calendar dates.
This gives me two draws per week for half a year.
After a half year is up I bring the ticket in to be checked for possible winners and renew it for the next 6 months.
The reason I do it this way is it minimizes how much time & effort I spend on the lottery. Two visits a year to the local Publix and I'm good. Of course I end up spending $104/year, but for me it's money well spent....especially considering the potential payout(s).
And yes...these 6 numbers have proved to bring in some results. Just not the big one...yet.
Good luck!

<----This guy. Just donates money to the lottery without knowing how it works!
Most of the tickets are purchased by poor people, hoping to get rich; the people who can least afford to buy them, that’s what it means. My dad has always said the lottery is a tax on poor people. What does this mean? Of course, my dad doesn’t care to throw money away on gambling at casinos and the lottery, so not sure of his point. LOL.
