there were multiple instances of trump’s sons and acolytes passing on anti semitic crap throughout the campaign and the sympathies with that stuff have continued and seems to be ramping up.

i’m not going to pick nits that this white nationalist doesn’t think the white nationalist in the white house doesn’t hate jews enough.
So just to make sure I'm not misunderstanding you, Trump is a white nationalist?

If this is true, I feel like I really do need to get back into politics more than I have been. I've only seen headlines here and there, lots of bluster all around, but if you're not using hyperbole I would see this as a major issue and have little to no doubt he won't win re-election. But furthermore, it would imply that most people are not only complicit but endorse white supremacy.

I guess my white half would be ok with policies that only benefit whites, but my black sides gonna be pretty angry.

I mean that much like yesterday with the legitimate pro trump psycho, the first thing anyone wants to do is find out how it's Trump's fault. And of the guy didn't have a direct pro trump relationship, it was Trump's language that made it "ok" for him to do this.

I've said it before, I don't vote in presidential elections due to my profession. It's all become them vs they apparently. I enjoy the rank hypocrisy I see on the tv, in the news, and in our forum. "Enjoy" is the wrong word. I'd laugh if I wasn't too busy crying.

The president's and his supporters' attitudes and language have encouraged the crazies and are in and of themselves not helpful to society.

I do agree Trump is a symptom, but disagree because his behavior is also a problem enabled by others with problems.

So the major parties are now fascist who think they're anti-fascist/socialist or white supremacist.

What the literal HELL?!

I'm glad you read my post word for word and took it at face value instead of reading much more into it than anything I ever intended.

Seriously, I don't know where you came up with that.

last week trump proudly proclaimed that he is a nationalist
I'm a nationalist. I believe my country should come before others. And once we're good, we help others. Or only if it's in our nations interest.

I believe our president should be a nationalist. I believe that any soldier serving should be a nationalist.

I don't believe that being a nationalist makes me better than a German, Canadian, or is in any way related to my race. But it does mean that if I have to choose between my country our someone else's coming out on top.....I'll me the one trying to run your face in the dirt.

If you come to my country from China, Afghanistan, Mexico, etc and become a member of it, you're now part of the team and I hope you are/become a nationalist too.

It wasn't so much about what you wrote vs a response to it. I'm saying that the worst groups in history are gonna be the new hotness if this continues, considering that they're getting all the headlines.

I wonder if Trump's Jewish daughter and Jewish son-in-law are also antisemites. Maybe they are self-loathing Jews, I dunno.

Trump supporters can’t avoid showing their true feelings.

I wish this group would change their name.

Let me put it this way:

I carefully chose my words, at one point changing the wording to reflect that the behaviors and attitudes are the problem instead of the people per se. My fear was that someone would misunderstand me.

Now, I don't have the audience that the POTUS has and I care (to an extent) how I am perceived. It is unlikely that someone would read my words and think it justifies violent action against anyone, but I'd prefer not to leave ambiguity when an extra moment can make my thought more clearly misunderstood.

The leader of the free world doesn't appear to suffer from the same aversions as I, nor do his followers.

It seems they enjoy it more when their words are found to be incendiary and fail to understand the sober gravity of the eventual consequences of those words.

I do fear some on the left suffer the same problem, but they seem to have more of a blind spot than a desire to do it intentionally.

I would expect the leader of every country to look out for their country's interests over that of others. Of course, implementing policies that are stated to be good for the country are often different from policies that are actually good for the country. Trading free(ish) trade for protectionism being one of many examples.

Nationalist has a negative connotation, dating back to the world wars.

I would describe myself as a patriot, but would avoid the term nationalist.

Meh, I guess you're right. I could put in one over the other. I did feel that patriot sells it a little short, because I do want my country to prosper, or work in its own self interest prior to others.

I do understand the negative connotation that it carries given the Nazis.

all you have to do is watch and listen to the presidents acolytes; bannon, gorka, miller et al. to know what nationalist means.

And I guess that's the problem. I don't watch any of those people and still use dictionaries.

As expected, the usual suspects come out and want to blame Trump (and no, I am not what some of you would consider a Trump supporter) instead of just taking these situations for what they ARE. People who do this are just EVIL. This person who did this is simply an evil human who did an evil thing, Some hate Trump so much that they will try any way they can to tie this in no matter how frail the thread might be.
These are the same people who argued conservatives down all the time and called conservatives racist and such simply because they didn't like the Obama policies or couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary and such.
Most of these things are not politically motivated. Most of these things just come from pure evil. As for the groups these people appear to be aligned with, they have no strong tie to either party. They may try to say they are allied with a particular party but in reality they are not. Their agendas are to tear this country apart at any cost.
There are just too many weak minded people who fail to see the forest because the trees are in the way. There are too many people who are so eaten up with hate for WHOMEVER the president is that an event like this is just another excuse to blame the President or a particular party.
What y'all really fail to see is that the two parties are one and the same with the same goal. All they desire, no matter what side of the aisle they call themselves being on, is POWER.
The incident at the Temple had nothing to do with politics. But you go ahead and keep believing and spewing this garbage. I guess if you tell a lie long enough you'll actually start to believe it yourself.

Well only non-white people apparently can be proud of their background and values according to left wing nuts. I too am a proud nationalist. Quite frankly this whole “White Nationalist“ term didn’t even exist until the 2016 election.
