The bolded...is that really brag worthy considering how bad their offense really is?

Alabama held them to 196, so I would have to say YES, holding them to 236 is pretty impressive. That is, unless you think that what Alabama did really wasn't that impressive.

I know everyone thinks this game will be close because of our reputation of playing sloppy against MSU in recent years.... But this year is different. MSU does not have Mullin... Prescott, etc. Fitzgerald is struggling this season. I expect the guys to take care of business before half time and great opportunity for 2nd unit to play more in second half... It will not be a blowout, but this is the game for our defense to focus on, because we will stress the turnover... we want interceptions, fumbles, etc. There won't be any emotional letdown this week. We took care of our business against LSU, and we are pretty much relative healthy compared to last two years.

Itís usually when the game is in cowbell land that we struggle not in Tuscaloosa. The only thing that worries me that we might not get a video game score is that MSU eats the ball.

State milked the clock last year and controlled the LOS. Can't allow that to happen this time around.

Bama is averaging 49.7 PPG in SEC play, MSU is averaging 13.4 (dead last in the conference).

Bama is averaging 53.0 PPG at home, MSU is averaging 13.7 on the road.

Nick Fitzgerald on the road this year: 42% completion, 4.3 yards per attempt, 2 TDs, 6 INTs, 119 Yards per game.

I think that State is feisty, but there shouldn't be any logical reason that they can beat us. 34-13 was my score and I will stick to that.

I just don't see how a one-dimensional offense that could only muster three points against L8U scores 13 against Bama.

Remember, this is the same offense as last year and they scored 24 against a better Alabama defense. When Fitz gets hot, he is very good. He has been hot the last 2 games.

Yes - look it up. Against aTm and La Tech (which has a surprisingly decent defense) he played lights out.
