The reality - the head coaches don't really get hurt when they get fired, but they have a huge staff, most of whom do not make much money and are trying to start a career. They are the ones who get hurt when a staff fails and gets fired. They all have families, and they all must look for new jobs, relocate their families, etc. It is the life that they chose, but it is not an easy one.
Funny. But, I think ole Gus will be at auburn for a while yet. There pockets are deep down there, but $32 Mil is a lot of loot.
This reminds me of the way Lane Kiffin was fired at USC (west). No need to feel any sympathy for any of these coaches that get axed; when they are getting paid 10's of millions there is no need to feel sorry for them. Either produce or go.
