I instantly knew something was fishy about the punt attempt. There are usually three defenders guarding the kicker, but they only had one guy off slightly to the left.
I think it was a most beautiful call!!!

in the 2009 Nat Championship game against Texas, Alabama pulled a fake punt from their own 20 on 4th and long and it was overthrown. It was one of those what were you thinking plays. But it was early in the game. I guess stuff happens under pressure.
I think it was a dumb move, but Kirby could see that momentum had changed. Bama's superior depth was taking a toll, Georgia's defense was tired! Bama was moving the ball on offense! I said when we cut it to 28 - 21 that I thought we would win! Then Tua went out but Hurts came in and we didn't miss a beat! Tied 28 all Kirby was right in that Georgia needed something big to happen, but he would have been better off to have punted Bama deep and hope for a turnover or overtime!
